Since 1956, Allen’s PharmaServ have been providing pharmacy solutions throughout Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, and we understand the needs of long-term care patients. Some of our industry leading pharmacy services include: carrying a large product selection, custom compounding, utilizing “unit-of-use” medication packaging systems, and streamlining billing options while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Allen’s PharmaServ also provides your facility staff with educational programs and newsletters to keep current on pharmaceutical trends and utilizes computerized medical records to assist with the required medical charting. Our services enable you to increase efficiency, save money and optimize resident care.

Allen’s PharmaServ customers have access to our, trained pharmacy professionals on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our pharmacists’ reviews your prescribed medications following accepted standards for geriatric patients, and one of our pharmacists is always available to answer your questions directly. To support your patients and staff we perform Drug Utilization Reviews to routinely screen for any drug and/or allergy interactions.


Payment terms

Payment terms vary depending on the particular situation.


Medicare A (Skilled Nursing Stay) - If you are in a nursing home following a hospital stay you may qualify for Medicare Part A. If so, you are not charged for your medications. Once your Part A days have run out you may then become covered under one of the methods below.

Medicaid - If you are eligible, Medicaid will usually pay for your medications with small or no co-pays.

Patients waiting for or already under Medicaid coverage should be aware that there might be co-pays even after your coverage effective date. These will normally continue until the patient has completed one full calendar month of residency in the facility. The Department of Health and Human Services requires these charges to be paid for by the patient, and not the facility or the pharmacy.

Private Insurance – We accept virtually all insurance plans. We bill your insurance company as we fill the prescription. They set the reimbursement we receive and then tell us how much of a co-pay to charge you. That price is billed to you at the end of the month.

Medicare Part D – Congress established this in 2006. It allows any senior to have access to drug insurance. If you don’t have Medicaid or private insurance we strongly suggest you enroll in a Part D Plan. It is important to have this coverage for a number of reasons. Allen's PharmaServ Billing Questions

If you have questions concerning your bill, you should call Allen’s PharmaServ’s billing office at 330-744-4544, not the facility.

We will send you a bill at the end of each month. You may send us a check, or pay using your debit card, credit card, or an electronic check. Online payment is also available Click Here to make a payment online. Many of our patients enjoy the convenience of setting up an automatic payment plan. Payments are expected within 30 days of the statement date. A finance charge will be applied to past due balances.
